- Bubble wrap or other cushioning marterials

- Labels
Use strong boxes and containers that can be secured tightly. Purchase special boxes for dishes, wardrobe and other special items.
Taping the bottom of the boxes before filling them prevents the contents from spilling out of the bottom during the move.
In each box, the heavier items should be placed at the bottom and the lighter items on the top to prevent damage.
Cushion contents with packaging material such as bubble wrap, newspaper or tissue. Save room buy using towels and blankets to wrap fragile items.
Boxes should be full but not overfilled, so the tops can be closed and sealed with tape to prevent damage, making stacking safe and easy.
Label each box and indicate the following:
- Whether it's fragile.
- Which room it should go in.
- If it should be loaded last so it will be unloaded first.
Pack seperately a bag of personal items required during the move (change of clothes, toiletries, medicine, maps, food, and drinks). If you have children pack some games and activities for the journey.
Pack books tightly on end in small boxes.
